ARTIST STATEMENT:
Art process and art itself evoke the past, and dance with the future. Which for me brings hope for the uncertainties and the unknown of yesterday, present and tomorrow.
Initiating the sentiments and sediments of experience that ended conditionally in time, moving through emotional and artistic states, sublimating memories, going back to that meta space, where memory can be modified and reconstructed, until they become more accurate and more vivid than memory containing the original form. With the creating process I re-experience fragments of memories, emotions, sensory experience, but simultaneously moving away from them - observing them. Being both the subject and the object of observations.
By using personal history and mythology (as archetypal language), through poetry and art, I am creating analogies and metaphors, which depict personal paths as the collective memory. In this polyptych, painting and poetry, all vision from reality and dreams, consciousness and subconsciousness are sublimated. Altogether with never answered questions about truth and lies that we give ourselves after the personal or collective trauma.
Through my art and poetry explore and question social issues, personal beliefs, philosophical inquiries, and essential identity questions, all intricately connected to the profound tapestry of nature.
